Nancy C. White, 80, of Pensacola, FL passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
Nancy was born in Evanston, IL, on March 11, 1944. Her father, William Chwastiak was an Austrian Immigrant, who married her mother, Sophia Stanko. She had one sister, Mary Ann Chwastiak. All of whom are deceased. Nancy graduated “Class of 1962” from Evanston High School and went on to study and graduated from several colleges with a Bachelor’s Degree at TCU. Nancy married and divorced having two children: Patrick Tyson and Kurt William who were later adopted by her second husband, CDR. Richard D. White, USN. Kurt William White is deceased.
Giving M. D. Anderson credit for saving her life and Power by God, Nancy was a 9-year Lung Cancer survivor and miracle. Nancy was an Educator, Writer, Ballet Dancer, Painter, Knitter and an Organizer. She attended Perdido Bay United Methodist Church and was a friend to many people. She loved her dog “Hans” and will be missed by anyone who ever met her smile.
Survivors include son Patrick Tyson White and Richard D. White; children as their family’s blended, Sonya Yvonne White, Richard D. White, Jr., and Sheri White Fought. Nancy had grandchildren that she never really got to see, Vera Kurt Meyakina in Russia and Chase James in Georgia, USA both fathered by her son, Kurt William White.
Nancy’s wishes were to be cremated, and her ashes be place with her husband at Barrancas National Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her true friends and helpers Cheri Loveless and Ernie and Anna Westwood, both at Nancy’s beckoning and call.
