Lieutenant Robert Miller “Bob” Scott Birth: August 25, 1944 Evanston, Cook County, Illinois Death: June 25, 1968 (aged 23) Qui Nhơn, Thành phố Quy Nhơn, Bình Định, Vietnam Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, Cook County, Illinois ======================= Lt. U.S. Air Force, Vietnam War -- Lt. Scott was shot out of the sky on 6-25-1968 while piloting his F-100D Aircraft during close air support near Thach Khe, 10 miles southwest of Qui Nhon, with the 416th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 37th Tactical Fighter Wing, 7th Air Force. He was flying out of Phu Cat Air Base. Lt. Scott started his tour of Vietnam on June 2, 1968. He is the son of Mr. Alford H. & Mrs. Ruth M. Scott of 3428 Park Place, Evanston, Illinois, and the husband of Mrs. Patricia A. Scott of 4221 Lincoln Way, Sioux City, Iowa, and the father of one daughter, Miss Carolyn A. Scott and is a 1962 graduate of Evanston Township High School, Evanston, Illinois. Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Air Medal, Pilot Wings, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
